The fifth “Future of the Social Sciences” conference sponsored by the Center for the Study of Economy and Society takes place at the Cornell Club in New York City, Friday, February 24th and Saturday, February 25th. At this year’s conference, we hope to explore new work on AI and the mind, on experiments in the social sciences, theory and prediction of the middle range, and novel methods in the study of behavioral traces and social behavior.
“Economic sociology is a science concerning itself with the interpretive understanding of social economic action and thereby with a causal explanation of its course and consequences.”— Max Weber
